Frequently Asked Questions

1) How do I place an order ?
By email to info@cherishedmemories.ie and forward your wording, verses or prayers plus your photos in hi res JPEG format with a brief description of what items you wish to order. Please include your contact details so that we can phone you to discuss your order and give you a timeframe for proofing, printing and delivery.

By Phone @ 01 8879091. We will be delighted to talk you through the process of ordering memorial cards and to take the necessary details from you. You will then have the choice of either posting in your wording and photos or emailing your photos and your wording.

By post to Cherished Memories, The Basement, 29 Mountjoy Square, Dublin 1 include your photos and wording, verses or prayers, a brief description of your requirements. Please include your contact details so that we can phone you to discuss your order and give you a timeframe for proofing, printing and delivery.

In person to our offices at 29 Mountjoy Square, Dublin 1 (please phone 01 8879091 for appointment). We are open Mon-Fri 9.00am – 5.00pm and remain open during lunchtime. There is meter parking directly outside. We would be delighted to assist you with your decision for memorial and acknowledgement cards in the comfort and privacy of our offices.

2) What are the Payment Options?

We require a deposit with all orders and payment in full is required prior to delivery or upon order collection. We accept payment by debit/credit card over the phone or in person. We also accept payment by cash, cheque, bankers draft or postal order. NOTE: If paying by cheque, bankers draft or postal order please make payable to: POD Digital Print Solutions (Our registered Company Name).

3) How long does an order normally take ?

Generally it takes about 2-3 weeks to complete an order but this may vary due to individual requirements. Upon receipt of an order it can take 3-5 days to provide a colour proof depending on the complexity of the order. Allow a few days for you to view the proof with other family members as there may be alterations required prior to making a final decision. Once we receive proof approval we can have your order ready for delivery or collection within 3-5 days.NOTE: If an order is required for a specific date such as an anniversary, special mass etc. we will do our utmost to ensure your order is completed for that date.

4) Can I send you photos taken with a digital camera or an iphone ?

Yes, please send high resolution jpeg images only as this will give the best result when printing. If there are any issues with your images we will contact you prior to commencing your order to discuss same.

5)  If I send you original photos will I get them back ?

Yes, we have the facility to create high quality hi res scans from your photos and to digitally make any modifications necessary. We understand how precious your photos are so we treat them with the utmost care and respect and return them safely with your completed order.

6) There are other people in the photos, do I need to crop them before I send them to you ?

Please do not crop your photos too close to the persons face as it can limit the options for blending etc. and may effect the final result. Wherever possible please send us the original photo to scan for the best results. We can digitally remove any unnecessary backgrounds or other people from your photo without effecting the original image.

7) Can I see what my order will look like before it is printed ?

Yes, we provide a colour proof of your order which we email to you, if you do not have access to email we can post a paper proof to you. An emailed proof gives you a view of how your order will look. However, due to the varying quality of devices now available to view emails from it may not be an accurate colour match to the final printed order. A paper proof will give a better colour representation of your order.

8) Can I make a change to wording or photos after I receive my proof ?

Yes you can make changes to existing wording or add additional wording at no extra cost. However, adding extra photos or changing an existing photo will incur an extra cost of €30 per photo due to time taken for re design & layout.

9) Do you have a selection of verses or prayers I can use ?

We have a selection of verses on our website @ www.cherishedmemories.ie or view the verse selection in our brochure.

10) If I choose to have my order delivered, how much will it cost ?

We offer FREE nationwide delivery service within Ireland to all our customers, delivery is by a reputable courier company and we contact you when your order is dispatched for next day delivery. NOTE: Deliveries to UK and overseas will incur an extra cost, please ask for a quotation.

11) Can I collect my order from your offices ?

Yes, we will contact you when your order is ready and you can collect it from our offices @ The Basement, 29 Mountjoy Square, Dublin 1 anytime between 9.00am – 5.00pm Monday – Friday.

12) Is it possible to order extra memorial cards after I have received my order ?

We have an electronic data back-up system which enables us to archive all files so should you need extra cards we can reprint them for you.
